I took him to the park on the way home from Animal House then on to meet the pack. He had a wiggly greeting dance and a howl that was so adorable. His tail was lethal as it was thin and bony. He wanted to jump on you when you came home. I would just say "Do Not." and point at him.
He had some separation anxiety and was an expert at escaping. I tried everything. Tried leaving him out when I couldn't take him with me. 1 leather couch ruined. Ugh. I did take him everywhere I could-classes, doggy daycare, stores (he stayed in the car if not allowed in).
He went to many classes with me. I was teaching a couple dozen classes a week at that time. He was a quick learner and so very smart.
Loved to ride in the car. Sat in the back as my wingman.
Because of his separation anxiety, I let him sleep with me. At first with a leash on attached to my wrist. Then as trust built, without a leash. He slept in a ball-always.
