First post-a year and a half in

And here I am. A year and a half in. Actually I retired from my full-time Cinti Bell job in 2004 to pursue a career as a dog trainer. I had trained dogs since 2001 but only part-time and a year of that at Petsmart.

I retired from teaching group dog training classes Sept 2017. I miss it. A lot. It was probably my best job ever. And not so much like a job but an adventure with my tribe. Every day.

But a granddaughter happened. My only one. And you know grandmas. It took all my time to fawn over and spoil her. You will see pics of her on here. Probably too many. If you look at my Facebook page, there are tons.

But then after 14mos of watching my daughter fulfill a role she was awesome at and loved with all her heart, full custody was given to the father 4 hours away. And the nightmare ensued.

So now the custody battle continues and takes up a ton of time. I can't detail all of it here due to legal reasons but suffice it to say we will NEVER stop trying to get her back. NEVER.

However I still teach some private in home dog training sessions to supplement my income. Maybe a couple a week. I have to work around hearings, visitation, case prep and such. Not sure how long I will do this. I really do enjoy being retired.

What I will share here is some of my life now and some of my life then. It's been quite a journey. And shared by many dogs along the way. Oh and people too. 😄
